My experience and knowledge will allow me to make the best recommendations for improvement to help support the successful efforts that are already in place in Prospect. I would like to bring the focus back to what’s most important, the taxpayer. The role of a Council member is to represent the residents and to make sound decisions that put taxpayers first."

Stephanie Lusas Kolodziej, Board of Assessment Appeals
Stephanie Lusas Kolodziej is a lifelong resident of Prospect, where she lives with her husband and their cat. She has earned a diploma in Nursing from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and currently works as a Registered Nurse at Bridgeport Hospital, as well as maintaining a few other part time positions. Stephanie has been a member of the Prospect Republican Town Committee since January 2011. Stephanie has been serving as a member of the Board of Assessment Appeals since 2012 and was voted as the Board's chairperson in March of 2016. Stephanie volunteers as a firefighter with the Prospect Fire Department and serves as an advisor to the Junior Fire Cadets. "I truly enjoy serving the residents of Prospect through the BAA and if re-elected on November 7th, I promise to continue upholding this position with honesty, sincerity, and dedication. "

Born and raised in Prospect; 
Appointed as Tax Collector in 1989 
Running for her 15th term.
State Certified as a Municipal Collector in 1989 
Member of Connecticut Tax Collectors Association & Northeast Regional Treasurers & Tax Collectors Association.
Previously worked with the Prospect Water Pollution Control Authority in setting billing procedures for sewer use billing between the City of Waterbury and the Town of Prospect residents
"Maintaining a professional office staff and continued years of service to the Town has attributed to the Tax Office attaining a collection rate of 99%. Taxpayers are able to view and pay their taxes online and the tax office continually works to educate taxpayers on their responsibilities regarding payment of taxes. No one enjoys paying taxes, but my goal for the tax office has always been to give the taxpayers my personal attention and let them know that their support is vital to the Town of Prospect."

Gwenn Talmadge Fischer, Zoning Board of Appeals
Prospect resident for over 65 years.
Have been President of the Prospect Chamber of Commerce, Girl Scout leader, softball coach, Grange member, Prospect Congregational Church member (having held many positions within the church).
Previous town positions included, member of the Prospect Town Council, member of the Inland Wetlands committee.  "I’m running because of my love for the town and it’s residents."

Grants received to allow images of land records to be viewed on computer back to 2007, additional grant received this year to allow more images to be accessed on public computer
- New microfilming program that gives immediate access to images of land records
- Computer access to local and state voters - Updated dog program to allow immediate access to licensed dogs in order to assist the Prospect Dog Warden
- Updated process of issuing marriages on computer
- Meeting all State requirements required by Connecticut State Statue - Certified Connecticut Town Clerk since July 2003
